Because of the significant differences in the barrel material stength, If the
scope is to be mounted on high recoil rifles, you must use our heavy recoil
base that has additional screw attachment. If it is not used,the scope
may pull out the dovetail in a few rounds.

NEW ACCESSORIES! We now have a fine elevation adjustment , a heavy recoil base and a extra ring to prevent slippage of the scope tube under heavy recoil, these accessories will be in production shortly and are easily added to the basic scope.( They are all pictured here on an Austin&Hallek Mountian Rifle.)

FAQ : Elevation range: 200 minutes for 34 inch barrel Sharps rifle, more for shorter barrel rifles.


What about PARALLAX ADJUSTMENT:
These scopes don't need a parallax adjustment. We have an optical system that is designed like the originals.
It is not some "Jerry Rigged" set of lens to give a long optical system. Our objective lens has a 400 mm focal length.
This means that there is very very little difference in the focus distance for 100 meters to Infinity.
There is only a few thousands of an inch difference in the image location. Consequently we can eliminate the parallax
adjustment and much better seal the scope.
